Southern Regional Trampoline & DMT Competition Results – March 2025
Our gymnasts continue to impress, as another strong entry saw 18 of our members competing in the second regional trampoline & DMT competition of the year, and saw us come away with more qualifiers, medals and accomplishments.
Natalia (Club 3), Kristiana (Club 2) and William (Reg 1) all won their respective groups with some sublime routines. In a huge group of over 40 competitors, Effie’s determination and improvement showed as she produced her best performance to date and secured a place on the podium and a bronze medal.
We had other gymnasts all competing in the Regional 1 category, which involves competitors competing a minimum of 2 somersaults within both routines. Immie, Olivia and Abbie were all successful with their routines and achieved the qualification score required to move through to the Southern Regional Championships at the end March. In only his second competition Riley did well and finished his group in 6th, while Alice finished 12th and Gabriela 28th in their age groups.
In the Club Level categories, Phoebe, Celia and Beatrice all finished in very similar positions to the competition a few weeks ago, with Phoebe coming 12th in her Club 3 category, and in Club 2 Celia came 4th and Beatrice 6th.
Finally, in the SRA Level, where gymnasts’ scores are based on the best of their two routines and medals are awarded should competitors achieve the designated scores, many of our members improved upon their scores from the previous competition. Elsie, Lauren and Lucy all earned silver medals for their scores, with Hayley also getting her personal best score and a bronze medals, and Penny, showed a great deal more confidence, despite not achieving the score on this occasion.
Thank you to our tremendous coaching team and to those parents who volunteered to help during the day: Kerry, James, Clare, Rachael, Steve and Mike.
Well done to everybody who took part, and to all of the other regional competitors on another excellent day of competition, and best of luck to everyone who has qualified through to the Championships in a few weeks’ time.
